Apartments and houses design

Here you can find the possible options for repairing apartments of different size, configuration, and style, e.g., design of a single-room apartment, design of mansard rooms. Pictures of the rooms after repair we place in another section. Here we also post computer visualizations of the apartment interiors of most of the projects that we have completed.

We make interior design with various repair budgets, and we want to show our potential clients that in our portfolio there are projects that meet their needs, be it an apartment design or a house design.

The section contains premises of private interiors, except for those which do not belong to typical ones, namely, swimming pools, billiard rooms, rest rooms, wine rooms and conservatories.

Listed premises you can find in the public premises section. Repair of apartments, their pictures you can evaluate in the Pictures of residential interiors section.

What are the special features of the private interior design in comparison with the public one? We pay attention to the following piculiarities while developing private interiors and want to draw your attention, regardless of whether this is a modern design of a single-room apartment, or a design in classical style.

Apartments design
Customer perception

Ability of the interior designer to subtly sense customer's psychology. For the development of room interior, this competence is more important than for the development of public interior, since in the latter case it is rather a kind of average arithmetic view of all visitors, that is a parameter which the designer can evaluate without detailing the customer's own opinion.

When developing interior to the taste of a particular person, the designer, surely, needs to be able to understand the client, which requires psychological skills.

Client not always knows his own preferences

In an attempt to understand customer's tastes, the following difficulty often pops up: the customer does not know his own tastes, because he has never thought about them or his taste does not have a specific direction. At first it may seem quite logical - that is why a person turned to the designer, because he does not know what to do with his own interior.

But this is only at first glance. If the style of the future interior and the owner's preferences before or immediately at the beginning of the work on the project are not identified, the development process can significantly deteriorate, slow down, and reach a stalemate.

Design selection is a complicated task

3 main challenges with the choice of style:

    • First, there are too many styles and their varieties to just go through them one after another making design options

    • Secondly, if the customer has not thought enough of the style of his interior, his taste will change in the course of work on the project

  • Thirdly, the "you are designers, you know better" approach does not guarantee that your taste will match the designer's taste without further clarification of your preferences.

Kitchen-studio design
To compromise

Be prepared to make compromises due to the difference in the vision of interior by your family members, as well as the existing restrictions of your apartment or house: the areas of the premises, the location of doors and windows, load-bearing structures, ceiling heights, budgets and other. Say, the interior of a single-bedroom apartment may be unsuitable to accommodate a sleeping, a sports, and a working area in the format in which you would like. Certainly, the designer will do everything in his power, but you must understand that it is far from always possible to get the result that you want, for objective reasons.

Cooperation with designer

On the one hand, we insist on cooperation between the customer and the designer, especially at the initial stage of the design development and formulation of the technical design specification, and, on the other hand, it is important not to get too carried away and let the designer freely create. Do not forget that you apply to the designer for his ideas, not just to draw your own ones.

To visualize your own seeing, it's more appropriate to contact the visualization studio.

But be prepared that everything that you yourself came up with after visualization may look far different from what you had imagined: either the various elements may not fit together, or the area of the room may not correspond to the forms that you want to place there and so on. Here it is just necessary to put your trust in the designer's mastery, give him the freedom of creativity and with open mind appreciate his skill in decorating the room, with all the strengths and weaknesses of this room.

For example, in a small area, but a high ceiling. The visualization will be done in exact dimensions. This ensures that the interior of the rooms on pictures after the repair work will maximally coincide with computer visualization.

What designer should understand

As you can see, there are many points that need to be accounted when developing design projects for apartments.

Therefore, if you are applying to the design studio, and you are asked not enough questions about your preferences, but only assured that everything will be fine, because "we are professionals", it is worth to consider whether these designers have sufficient experience. Probably they just have not encountered certain situations yet or do not know how to avoid them.
